Every child deserves to be safe on the road. But for many families, a car seat is an expense they simply can't afford. That’s why Supervisor Jim Desmond on behalf of the County of San Diego and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office are proud to host this Carseat Giveaway Event — to support parents, protect children, and ensure every family in our community has access to life-saving equipment.

Properly installed car seats reduce the risk of fatal injury by up to 71% for infants and 54% for toddlers in passenger vehicles. This is about more than just safety — it’s about giving families peace of mind.

We’ll be selecting car seat recipients through a raffle. Winners will be notified by June 18th and must attend the event in person to receive their car seat.
