Kids are back on their bikes, riding to school, to practice, and around the neighborhood. A properly fitted helmet is the single best thing a parent can do to keep those rides safe.
That's why Supervisor Jim Desmond is teaming up with Escondido Fire and the County of San Diego to give away free bike helmets to local children.

Bring your child by and our team will help find the right size and show you how to adjust the fit. No registration required, and there is no cost. Helmets are available while supplies last, one per child.
"A helmet is a small thing that makes an enormous difference," said Supervisor Jim Desmond. "We want every kid in North County to have one, and we want every parent to know how to fit it correctly. Helmet up, ride safe."
