Stop the Gas Tax Increase

On July 1st, California raises your gas tax again. Add your name and tell Sacramento: enough.

San Diego County is already paying $6 a gallon. That's 40% more than the rest of the country.

And on July 1st, it gets worse.

UC Davis projects Californians could soon pay $2 more per gallon than the national average.

This isn't about oil companies. It isn't about supply. More than half of what you pay at the pump comes from state policy:

  • The highest gas tax in the nation
  • Cap-and-trade fees
  • Low Carbon Fuel Standard fees
  • A fuel blend only a handful of refineries can even produce — and two of those refineries just shut down

California is now shipping gas in from Asia, routed through the Bahamas, to replace the refineries Sacramento chased out of our own state.

Who pays the price?

The mom in Escondido driving her kids to practice.

The contractor in Vista filling up before sunrise.

The farmworker in Fallbrook.

The senior in Oceanside on a fixed income.

You shouldn't need a six-figure salary to fill up your tank.

Sign the petition. Send Sacramento a message they can't ignore.
