Today, we adjourned our Board of Supervisors in memory of Janie McGarity—a beloved member of our community who recently passed away after a courageous and prolonged battle with cancer.
Janie’s journey was marked by grace, strength, and an unshakable commitment to her family, her community, and her faith. Even in the face of the most difficult circumstances, she remained a steady light—offering comfort, joy, and unwavering love to those around her.
Those who knew Janie speak of her quiet courage, her joyful spirit, and the powerful impact she made through her kindness and compassion. She was a source of strength and inspiration to so many, and her legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Pastor Jeremy, their family, and the entire Skyline Church community during this time of profound loss. While words cannot erase the pain, we hope they find solace in the outpouring of love and support that surrounds them.
As we close today’s meeting, we do so in memory of Janie McGarity. May we all strive to carry forward the example she set—a life of service, humility, and love.
