Respect Project

Respect Project
Last week, I had the honor of attending the RESPECT Project's graduation! 12 young men and 8 young women graduated through the 10-week program developed by deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff's Station.
I have always been a huge proponent of RESPECT, going back to my days as the San Marcos Mayor and it's wonderful to see this program continue to flourish!
If you didn't know, the RESPECT Project is a character-building and mentoring program designed for youth in grades 8-12. The goal is to reduce juvenile delinquency, lower recidivism, and offer alternatives to street gangs, substance abuse, and a life trapped in the criminal justice system.
To learn more, go to their website and if you're interested in sending your child there, they have a referral portal.
Last year, I got to visit their new campus in San Marcos to see all the innovative ways they're helping out kids. It's incredible to see the lives they're changing.
