Thank You, North County

Thank You, North County

What a day! I want to thank everyone who attended the State of the North County and made today so special.

The reason an event like today was so meaningful is because we had so many of the people who make North County such a wonderful place, in the same room, at the same time.

I want to give a special thank you to Shelly Pinomacki for the invocation, the American Legion San Diego- Post 6, for the presentation of the colors, Oceanside Mayor, Esther Sanchez for the Pledge of Allegiance, John Carroll for introducing me, and the amazing Grace Taylor, for the national anthem! Also, it was an absolute honor to have Bud Roberds, the 102-year-young, WWII veteran on hand.

North County is so special, because of our geographic and cultural diversity. And though we have challenges ahead, including homelessness and behavioral health, I am confident that together we can better the lives of all North County residents.

As I said at the end of my speech today, you all are the engine that makes North County run. I am just a small part, I connect the dots to resources and do what I can to listen, engage and help.

I will always be that voice and fight so that we get our fair share when it comes to resources and dollars, and especially when it comes to our roads and infrastructure, business and education.

I am proud to work for you, proud to be a part of this region, and will always fight for North County.
