It's been a crazy and unfortunate week at the County Board of Supervisors. I wanted to give you an update on the latest regarding Nathan Fletcher.

One of the questions I get asked the most is, 'What can I do to stop SANDAG's plan?' This Friday is an important meeting and opportunity. On Friday, the Executive Director at SANDAG, Hasan Ikhrata will have his performance review. If you're like me and feel change is necessary at SANDAG, this is your chance to weigh in. Below is all the information on how to voice your opinion.

It was my distinct privilege  to honor one of the greatest fighter pilot ever recorded in military history and a true Hero -- Captain E. Royce Williams, during our Board of Supervisors meeting.

Electricity prices are out of control in California, most notably in San Diego County. A few weeks ago, I talked about the many reasons we are seeing our bills dramatically increase, but the fact remains California’s utility rates are consistently 30% higher than the national average.

A new state report was released last week that showed California spent nearly $10 billion on homelessness over a three-year period. This was released during the same week that the Downtown San Diego Partnership announced a record number of homeless people living on the streets.

The COVID-19 emergency has finally ended at the county and state levels. My biggest hope is that politicians learn from the mistakes that were made. 

In 2017, Governor Jerry Brown signed Assembly Bill 805. While there wasn't much publicity at the time, the measure was proposed by state legislatures in Sacramento, and now the power is being abused at SANDAG.

That's a question I've been asking myself and a frequent question my office has received. I'm asking the same questions, and it appears the answers aren't simple, but there needs to be a solution.
